See a gallery that does not have visiting hours, nor entrance fees? In Dozza you can!
Thanks to the Biennial of Painted wall, an event born in the sixties, which takes place every two years in Dozza, this medieval village constitutes a true open-air museum which houses beautiful works of art by artists from around the world.
During this event the facades of houses in the historic center turn into paintings, on which paintings take life and will be available to each visitor, without time constraints, always on display. Every two years this exhibition changes, is renewed with new paintings, alongside the older ones, now present for fifty years, always in harmony with the village and the hills surrounding it.
The edition of the Biennial of Painted wall, from 14 to 20 September 2015, was the 25th edition, thus reaching the threshold of fifty years from the birth of the first works of art!
